NewsNEWS 1. Visit the Pambili Shop!The Pambili Shop opened during February 2008 and will be officially opened by Finnish Chargee de'Affaires Ms Seija Kinni-Huttunen on 28 February 2008. The Pambili Shop and Studios will be open for shopping and viewing between 14h00 and 21h00 on 28 February 2008. Please visit us as it suits your schedule and enjoy some light refreshments with the Pambili team. Meet the young Namibian designers as they present their work and products throughout the afternoon programme. The official programme will start at 18h00 until 20h00. The Pambili Shop is situated at the back of the Namibian Craft Centre at the Old Breweries Complex, unit 7.2. Muoti 2008!The Namibian fashion designers joined forces to bring dazzling Namibian fashion to the Helsinki Fashion Fair 2008! Four Namibian designers showcased elegant, eye-catching evening wear designed in sunshine yellow and brown Shwe-Shwe textiles. The work of Amakeya Design, Kishwa Design, Jacques Guto, Tameka Jewelery Design, Atelier MHB, Maid in Africa, KNU Project, Mudhut Trading, Nammul Horn Products, Penduka Women's Project, Ohandje Women's Project, Victory Women's Project, Ibenstein Weavers, Pambili Felting Project and the Katima Craft Centre was exhibited at the fashion fair.3. Training courses - jewelery design!Training courses in Jewelery Design will commence at the Pambili Jewellery Studio as from 4 March 2008 until 17 April 2008. These evening courses will be offered from 18h00-21h00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays under the supervision of Attila Giersch, a qualified Namibian goldsmith from Tameka Studios.4. Smart Partnership kicks off July 2008!The Bank Windhoek Arts Festival announces a new Smart Partnership with Pambili Association on 28 February 2008. The partnership's vision is to see the capacity building of Namibian fashion designers and fashion artisans through a mentorship programme that will be offered by Pambili Association. As part of this programme Pambili Association will also aim to encourage a higher level of professionalism in fashion show productions offered in Namibia.
