HomePambili’s vision is to have a strong impact on future design training, mentoring and research in Namibia through networking, exchange opportunities and activities.Pambili Association’s overall objective is to ensure that Namibian communities and Namibian young designers benefit through the production of quality craft design products that answer the demands of both the local and foreign markets in order to enable business and trade opportunities for the communities, designers and Pambili Association itself. Pambili Namibia follow the approach of educating and empowering young designers, craft designers, producers, students and professionals so that they become aware, involved and active in social design issues. Therefore, by bringing their knowledge and skills to local Namibian communities and by committing themselves to product development, training and production activities for the communities, they can make a drastic contribution to the improvement of livelihoods in Namibian communities. Pambili Introduces Pambili Association focuses on fashion and interior design activities and product development. A recent project was started in Windhoek, Namibia, when Pambili Association invited local fashion and fashion accessory designers and entrepreneurs to participate in a design and product development workshop to equip them with the necessary skills to participate in professional trade fairs. The designers created high quality prototypes that represent a strong Namibian design identity by utilising Namibian produced textiles hand woven by Ibenstein Weavers, Namibian flavour Ondelela and Schwe-schwe textiles, raw natural materials such as wood, horn, stones, pebbles, leather and semi precious stones.
